Nos ffratres Johannes abbas de ffontibus sacre theologie professor et Willelmus abbas de Waverleya ceterique abbates monasteriorum in provincia Cantuarie et Eboraci existentes quorum nomina super sigillis inferius sunt conscripta salutem in auctore salutis. Noverit universitas vestra quod nos anno domini millesimo CCCCmo quadragesimo octavo tercio die mensis Junii apud Leicestriam congregati, quedam scripta Reverendissimi patris nostri et domini Abbatis Cistercii sigillo munita recepimus in hec verba: ffrater Johannes abbas Cistercii nostrique tocius ordinis Cisterciensis reformator generalis venerabilibus in Christo patribus et coabbatibus nostris Cantuarie et Eboraci provinciarum in Anglia sinceram in domino caritatem. Cum in commissione facia per diffinicionem in nostro ultimo generali capitalo anno domini millesimo quadringentesimo quadragesimo septimo de ffontibus et de Valle Dei monasteriorum abbatibus directa contineatur et concedatur eisdem Abbatibus cuilibet videlicet in provincia sua potestas associandi unum vel plures abbatem vel abbates etc, nos auctoritate tocius ordinis committimus et concedimus patribus utriusque provincie proxime generaliter congregandis quatenus eligere et nominare possunt huiusmodi associandos commissarios, quilibet videlicet in provincia sua, et quod sic electi et nominati habeant secundum tenorem commissionis predicte plenariam potestatem.
