786 Agreement between the abbeys of Bee and Reading whereby the latter will hold of the former the tithes of the demesne of [East] Hendred and of the tenants of the same for an annual payment of 20s

Hec est conventio inter abbatem Bechci et abbatem Rading' et utriusque loci conventum. Abbas et conventus Rading' tenebunt de abbate et conventu Bechci decimationes de dominio de Henrede et decimationes hominum tenentium de eodem dominio pro .xx. solidis annuatim solvendis ad festum sancti Michaelis. Si quis autem vendicare voluerit predictas decimationes, abbas et conventus Bechci tanquam principales possessores pro eisdem decimationibus defensionis onus suscipient. Hiis testibus: Willelmo clerico de Stivent(ona), Sansone et Willelmo filio ipsius de Wanet(ing), Clemente de Stivent(ona), Ricardo serviente de Wanet(ing), Gaufrido de Bixa, Petro clerico de Rading(ia), Radulfo dispensatore Rading(ie).
