Western Circuit Assize Orders 1629–1648

Published online by Cambridge University Press:  21 December 2009

Extract

1. George Scullard, Richard Coleman, Michael Harwood and John Head have obtained money which rightfully belongs to the poor of Upper Clatford, and which, contrary to several earlier orders, they refuse to surrender. They are ordered to pay over all money in their hands to the appointed receivers before 1 August. If they fail to do so, Sir Henry Wallop, Sir William Doddington and Henry Read, J.P.s, or any one of them, are to bind them to good behaviour and appearance at the next assizes.
