page 120 note 1 The printed text is slightly less extensive than that in the cartulary, for the latter includes quittance of tynpeni and the claims that the abbot's men are quit of assizes and recognitions and that the dogs of the abbot's men are quit of hambling.
page 121 note 1 The printed text is slightly different from that in the cartulary, for the latter, while omitting furcas, includes pillori and quittance of tynpeni and the abbot's claims to have free warren in all his lands and that his men are quit of assizes and recognitions. It concludes: Salvo iure domini regis cum inde loqui voluerit. See also no. 447.
page 121 note 2 The extreme right edge of the rubric was shaved when the folio was subsequently trimmed.
page 121 note 1 This text is the same as that in G, but slightly different from that in B, which may have been taken from another roll (see Crook, loc. cit.). The only significant difference in B, however, is that it calls the abbot's attorney Adam Scot, while G and the printed text have Andrew Scot. Cf. no. 558.

After weyf (para. 2, line 7) add tanquam pertinentes ad terram suam predictam et cetera
The sentence Et de exitibus … Regi respondent (para. 7, lines 11–12) is omitted in the cartularies
The word alias (para. 9, line 16) is omitted in the cartularies.
