* Note.—The question, whether land held in fee simple subject to a prior rentcharge for life created by a settlement, is or is not settled land under the Settled Land Act of 1882, was decided in Re Earl of Carnarvon's Settled Estates [1927] 1 Ch. 138. It was held not to be settled land.
