2 There is much debate about the terms here. Is it “business ethics”, “social issues in management”, “business and society”, or what? While there is much to be said here, for my purposes here I mean a broad and inclusive sense of “business ethics” much more akin to my favored “business, ethics, and society”. Of course if “business theory” is rightly conceived on grounds other than the separation thesis then there would be no special branch denoted by any of these terms.
