Die Wanderheuschrecke (Locusta migratoria, L.), in früheren Jahren in Rumänian einst eine der gefürchtetsten Plagen, ist heute meist auf das Donaudelta beschränkt ; sehr selten sind Jahre, wo der Massenwechsel in dem Masse sich gestaltet, dass sie das Gebiet auf weitere Strecken verlässt.
