Extract

Protostrophus dianthi, sp. n.

♀. Black, with dense grey and pale brown scaling ; head brown with a grey stripe adjoining the eyes ; prothorax with a broad indefinite median brown stripe, the lateral areas grey with brown spots which sometimes form two narrow irregular stripes, the pleurae brown above and grey below ; elytra mottled with pale brown and grey, intervals 2, 5 and 6 usually with dark brown patches, the suture pale fulvous.
