The male of which the peculiar hypopygium is shown in fig. 1 was bred from a lot of eggs received in March 1931 from Prof. Snijders (at that time in Medan, Deli, East Coast of Sumatra). Other males which had hatched from the same eggs were examined, but they had a normal hypopygium.
