African gall bugs of the genus Phytolyma (Hemiptera, Psylloidea)

Abstract

The genus Phytolyma is defined and a key is given to its four species. Two of the species, P. minuta and P. tuberculata, are described as new, another (P. fusca Alibert) is elevated from varietal status and the fourth (P. lata (Walker)) is redescribed. The host-plants are African forest trees, Chlorophora spp. and Morus sp. (Moraceae).
