Perioperative Behaviour: Is there a Lunar Influence?

Linda Anne Hodge, Alfred Philip James Lake

Alexandra Dental Centre, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Rhyl, Denbighshire, UK

The typesetter and the publisher would offer their sincere apologies to the authors and readers for the omission of the following corrections to the above article which appeared in British Journal of Anaesthetic and Recovery Nursing, 8(3).

  1. Authors should have appeared in the following order “Linda Anne Hodge and Alfred Philip James Lake”.
  2. The following reference, which appears in paragraph 1 of the results section was omitted from the reference list: Lake APJ, Hodge LA. An observational study of perioperative behaviour. Is there a lunar influence? Today's Anaesthetist 2006; 21: 80–85.
  3. The first sentence of the conclusion should have read: “As it is generally accepted that lunar effects are relatively weak we should not be surprised that, despite the relatively large sample size, the study failed to demonstrate a lunar influence on behavioural and other variables associated with anaesthesia care and the recovery process but much valuable data was record which will inform the future management service”.
