Untitled, 2014, Oil on canvas by Irakli Bugiani
Irakli Bugiani is a painter who was born in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. His works depict interiors and exteriors of architecture and seascapes empty of human presence. In the process of creation, he takes inspiration from texts and photographs of the social, scientific, and political developmental change of situations that are occurring around him. He chooses to leave evidence of the working process on the canvas to create the illusion of the artworks being ongoing and endless. The impressionistic fragmented imagery is intended to blur the boundaries of fiction and historical facts of the viewer's memory.
