La Fondation du Futur a annoncé au début du mois d’août 1985 un projet de colloque européen sur la culture, soulignant qu’il existe, en Europe, une culture spécifique. On peut signaler à ce propos que le Parlement européen a adopté une résolution préconisant la constitution d’une ‘Bibliothèque communautaire’. Parmi les domaines couverts en premier lieu s’inscrirait celui de la culture. Une cinémathèque et une vidéothèque y seraient adjoints. Son siège est prévu à Florence auprès de la Bibliothèque de l’Institut universitaire européen.Google Scholar

The ‘Fondation du Futur’ has announced plans for a European conference on culture, underlining the existence in Europe of a specific culture. It’s interesting to note on this point that the European Parliament recently sanctioned the setting-up of a ‘Community Library’. Culture would be among the foremost subjects covered. A film library and video library are to be added. It is to be located in Florence, near the Library of the University Institute of Europe.Google Scholar
