Mr. Richard Almack, F.S.A., of Long Melford, Suffolk, a gentleman who possesses a store of original correspondence, and documentary materials for English history, both of a public and personal nature, has placed in my hands the counterpart of a lease from the Earl of Bedford to Sir William Cecil, afterwards the Lord Treasurer Burghley, and bearing the signature of that great statesman, to be submitted to the inspection of the Society of Antiquaries.
