page 73 note 3 Platter of Gallo-Belgic form. A fine ‘native’ copy of a Gallo-Belgic terra nigra type; of hard brown ware with a well-preserved black finish. The angles are rather rounded but the central concentric circles on the base and the mouldings are finely worked. Cf. Hawkes & Hull, Camulodunum, Form 24. Claudius-Nero.
