In Negretto and Sánchez-Talanquer Reference Negretto and Sánchez-Talanquer2021, the section “Constitutional Origins and Liberal Democracy” contains a copyediting error. The final sentence of paragraph 3 in that section should read as follows: “We contribute to the existing literature, however, by (a) specifying the mechanisms that link plurally approved constitutions with the deepening of liberal democracy, (b) addressing the problem of enforceability of constitutional provisions after enactment, (c) considering the interdependence between bargaining political elites and the mass of citizens during and after constitution making, and (d) deriving from this analysis a set of hypotheses that are subjected to rigorous empirical testing.”

Additionally, the reference entry for Negretto 2017 contains an erroneous chapter number. The correct reference is as follows:

Negretto, Gabriel. 2017. “Constitution-Making in Comparative Perspective.” In Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Politics, ed. by William Thompson. Oxford University Press. Available at https://oxfordre.com/politics/view/10.1093/acrefore/9780190228637.001.0001/acrefore-9780190228637-e-66.

The publisher regrets these errors.
