An Eighteenth Century Reference to a Fluted Point from Guatemala

Abstract

The earliest literary reference to a fluted point occurs in a work written in 1722 by Francisco Ximenez. This specimen and others from Guatemala are discussed in the light of recent discoveries from neighboring areas.
