The flow from notched nozzles in the presence of a free stream

Summary

Experimental results obtained in jets from notched nozzles in a co-flowing free stream are presented. It is confirmed that even at low jet speeds the notches produce trailing vortices and it is found that the effect on the free stream on the vortices is surprisingly small.
