Elements of importance in a uranium-vanadium solvent extraction process can be monitored using EDXRF. Fifteen independent circuits were monitored for six different elements on a hourly basis. The precision of the analysis varies from element to element and from circuit to circuit, but all precision was within acceptable limits set for mill control by more conventional means of analysis. The elements of primary interest were uranium and vanadium.
