Analysis of Magnesium Brines by Energy Dispersive XRF
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 06 March 2019
Extract
The analysis of magnesium brines can be performed by atomic absorption and classical wet chemical techniques. These methods are subject to dilution errors and are time consuming. This paper describes a method using energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence to determine magnesium, sulfur, chlorine, potassium and calcium in concentrated magnesium brines.
