Summary

The appendix contains several proofs and technical details that have been omitted in the main text for the sake of storytelling. They are here for the completeness reasons, but also because they are pretty and elegant. Besides the proofs, the appendix offers brief discussions, expanding on some of the ideas presented in the main text. The last few pages, on energy collapse, and Brownian motion and the Newton laws, are designed to encourage some original research.
