The royal writ for parliament

Henricus octavus, Dei gratia Angliae, Franciae et Hiberniae rex, fidei defensor et in terra Ecclesiae Anglicanae et Hiberniae supremum caput, reverendissimo in Christo patri Thomae, eadem gratia archiepiscopo Cantuariensi, totius Angliae primati, salutem. Quia de avisamento et assensu concilii nostri pro quibusdam arduis et urgentibus negotiis nos statum et defensionem regni nostri Angliae et Ecclesiae Anglicanae concernentibus, quoddam parliamentum nostrum apud civitatem nostram Westmonasterii tricesimo die Ianuarii proximo futuro [3 0 January 1545] teneri ordinavimus, et ibidem vobiscum ac cum ceteris praelatis magnatibus et proceribus dicti regni nostri colloquium habere et tractatum vobis in fide et ligeantia quibus nobis tenemini firmiter iniungendo mandamus, quod consideratis dictorum negotiorum arduitate et periculis imminentibus cessante excusatione quacunque dictis die et loco personaliter intersitis nobiscum ac cum praelatis, magnatibus et proceribus praedictis supradictis negotiis tractaturi, vestrumque consilium impensuri. Et hoc sicut nos et honorem nostrum ac salvationem et defensionem regni et ecclesiae supradictorum expeditionem dictorum negotiorum diligitis nullatenus omittatis, praemonentes decanum et ecclesiae vestrae Cantuariensis capitulum ac archidiaconos totumque clerum vestrae dioceseos quod iidem decani et archidiaconi in propriis personis ac dictum capitulum per unum idemque clerus per duos procuratores idoneos plenam et sufficientem potestatem ab ipsis capitulo et clero divisim habentibus, praedictis die et loco personaliter intersint ad consentiendum hiis quae tune ibidem de communi consilio dicti regni nostri divina favente dementia contigerit ordinari. Teste meipso apud Westmonasterium primo die Decembris anno regni nostri tricesimo sexto [1 December 1544].

The archbishop's mandate for convocation, containing the royal writ

Edmundus, permissione divina Londoniensis episcopus, reverendo in Christo patri confratri nostro Domino Georgio, eadem permissione Cicestrensi reverendo in Christo episcopo, salutem et fraternae dilectionis continuum incrementum. Literas reverendissimi in Christo patris et domini Domini Thomae, permissione divina Cantuariensis archiepiscopi, totius Angliae primatis et metropolitani, duodecimo die instantis mensis Decembris [12 December 1544] noveritis nos cum ea qua decuit reverentia recepisse sub eo qui sequitur verborum tenore:

Thomas, permissione divina Cantuariensis archiepiscopus, totius Angliae primas et metropolitanus, venerabili confratri nostro Edmundo, eadem permissione Londoniensi episcopo, salutem et fraternam in Domino caritatem. Breve illustrissimi et invictissimi in Christo principis et domini nostri Domini Henrici octavi, Dei gratia Angliae, Franciae et Hiberniae regis, fidei defensoris et in terra Ecclesiae Anglicanae et Hibernicae supremum capitis, nuper recepimus in haec verba:
