Venerabili in Christo patri Domino [Adae], Dei gratia Herefordensi episcopo, Stephanus, eiusdem permissione Londoniensis episcopus, salutem et fraternam in Domino caritatem. Mandatum reverendi in Christo patris Waited, Dei gratia Cantuariensis archiepiscopi, totius Angliae primatis, recepimus sub hac forma:

Walterus, Dei gratia Cantuariensis archiepiscopus, totius Angliae primas, venerabili fratri nostro Domino Stephano, Dei gratia Londoniensi episcopo, salutem et fraternam in Domino caritatem. Quoniam quaedam expedienda noviter emerserunt universaliter ecclesiam, nos et ceteros praelatos, ac clerum nostrae Cantuariensis provinciae concementia, quae absque praesentia illorum omnium aliqualiter nequeunt expediri, de consilio venerabilium patrum, dominorum Gulilelmi, Dei gratia archiepiscopi Viennensis et Hugonis episcopi Aurasiensis, apostolicae sedis nuntiorum, necnon et de consilio quorundam fratrum nostrorum nuper Cantuariae congregatorum convocationem huiusmodi fore decrevimus faciendam. Vobis igitur committimus et mandamus quatenus venerabiles fratres nostros suffraganeos praesentes inregno, ac absentium fratrum in spiritualibus et temporalibus vicarios generales, seu alios quos ad hoc duxerint dimittendos, decanos ac capitula cathedralium ecclesiarum, necnon etiam capitula collegiatarum ecclesiarum, archidiaconos universos, abbates et priores supra se abbates in nostra provincia non habentes, tarn exemptos quam non exemptos, Cisterciensis, Cluniacensis, Sanctorum Benedicti et Augustini, Carthusiensis, Grandimontensis et aliorum ordinum, eorumque conventus, praepositos, archipresbyteros, domorum etiam hospitalium Sancti Iohannis Hierosolymitani, Sanctae Mariae Theutonicorum et Calatravensium magistros, priores et praeceptores, eorumque loca tenentes, clerumque cuiuslibet civitatis et diocesis nostrae provinciae supradictae, citetis seu citare faciatis peremptorie, quod dicti venerabiles fratres etc., personaliter, capitula autem per suos decanos, abbates et priores, si voluerint, alioquin per alium vel alios idoneos, clerus autem cuiuslibet diocesis per unum procuratorem vel duos consimiles communiter destinandos, septimo die post festum Sanctae Fidis Virginis proximo futurum [13 October 1326] in ecclesia Sancti Pauli Londoniarum, suas exhibeant praesentias, praedicta exponenda necnon cuiusdam mandati apostolici nobis et eis communiter publicationem audituri, ac prout expediens visum fuerit, super hoc efficaciter tractaturi, consensusque suos his quae, dante Domino, super his ordinabuntur et providebuntur ibidem praebituri, ulteriusque facturi cum continuatione dierum sequentium usque ad finem tractatus huiusmodi, quod ipsius natura negotii sive tractatus exigit et requirit, denuntiantes eisdem quod nullius quern inevitabilis necessitas non excusat absentiam dicto septimo die habebimus excusatam.
