Summary
The essays collected in the present volume came out of meetings of a Working Group on Addiction that met annually from 1992 to 1997. In addition to the contributors to the volume, the group included Aanund Hylland and Jørg Mørland. Their contributions to the discussions in the group have been decisive in shaping our individual and collective views on addiction. The work of the group has been funded by the Norwegian Research Council, the Norwegian Institute for Alcohol and Drug Research, the Norwegian Directorate for the Prevention of Alcohol and Drug Problems, and the Russell Sage Foundation.
