Summary
This final chapter provides an outlook on the possible futures of ecological-economic modelling. Five challenges and avenues for future research are highlighted, including the consideration of multiple interacting species, the consideration of multiple ecosystem services, feedbacks from the ecological-economic system into the policy level, the management of dynamic complexity and making models relevant for policy makers.
