Venerabili patri in Christo domino Ade dei gracia Wygorn' episcopo, sui humiles et devoti . . decanus et capitulum ecclesie Well' honorem cum reverencia debita tanto patri. Reverende paternitati vestre ius et consuetudo ecclesie nostre Wellen' nos excitant et inducunt. Est enim in ea reverende pater obtentum et hactenus observatum quod prebendarum quarumcumque dicte ecclesie nostre vacancium capitulum percipiat primos fructus ac prebenda de Iacton nuper vacante, in qua discretus vir et valens dominus Thomas de Trillek nepos vester prebendarius nunc existit, escaetori nostro taxacionem eiusdem iuxta constitucionem in ea parte editam acceptanti, sibique super ea satisfied a ministris dicti prebendarii pluries postulanti est expressius denegatum. Super quo reverende paternitati vestre insistimus prece nostra ut placeat vobis ministris et ballivis dicti prebendarii litteratorie precipere ad effectum ut super dicta taxacione que summam continet xxx li. escaetori nostro nostri et ecclesie nostre nomine satisfaciant ut est iuris. Hinc supplicacioni nostre reverende pater velitis condescendere. Advertentes quod ad iura consuetudines et statuta predicte ecclesie nostre observanda sumus astricti sicut et predictus dominus Thomas confrater noster et concanonicus vinculo iuramenti. Super hiis placeat digne dominacioni vestre domino H. de Folham confratri et concanonico nostro presencium portitori exponere et nobis rescribere velle vestrum.
