Students’ psychological problems due to academic, interpersonal, and future planning pressures are becoming increasingly apparent in a modern, fast-paced society. Among them, anxiety disorder has become a common problem many students face. At the same time, core values and cognitive behavioral art therapy can identify and adjust unhealthy cognitive and emotional patterns through creative art. Based on this, this study uses the above two methods to provide appropriate interventions for students’ mental health.

The study selected 100 students with anxiety disorders and randomly divided them into an experimental group and a control group with 50 participants each. The experimental group received mental health education based on core values and Cognitive Behavioral Art Therapy while the control group received routine mental health education. The experimental period is six months, and SDS and SAS are used to evaluate the psychological status of students.

The data shows that the anxiety symptoms in the experimental group have significantly improved, with a total effective rate of 87%, while the effective rate in the control group is 65%. In addition, the experimental group students’ self-efficacy, positive coping strategies, and life satisfaction significantly improved.

Research methods help alleviate students’ anxiety symptoms and cultivate students’ self-awareness, self-worth, and coping strategies. This provides new ideas and methods for future school mental health education.

In STAR*D, following non-remission with an SSRI, remission rates for second-line treatments were ~ 25%, regardless of the switch strategy employed. Antidepressants with novel mechanisms may improve outcomes in MDD. AXS-05 (dextromethorphan HBr 45 mg- bupropion HCl 105 mg) is a novel, oral, investigational, NMDA receptor antagonist with multimodal activity. The dextromethorphan component of AXS-05 is an NMDA receptor antagonist and a sigma-1 receptor agonist. The bupropion component of AXS-05 serves primarily to increase the bioavailability of dextromethorphan.

EVOLVE was an open-label study, in which patients were treated with AXS-05 twice daily for up to 15 months. Subjects had either rolled in after a prior AXS-05 study or were directly enrolled and had a DSM-5 diagnosis of MDD, a MADRS score of ≥25, and had been treated with ≥1 antidepressant in the current major depressive episode (MDE). A total of 186 patients were enrolled. Here we present the results for the directly enrolled patients (n =146).

Mean change in MADRS total score from a baseline of 32.2 were -9.1±7.64, -13.3±8.58, and -20.4±7.79 points at Weeks 1, 2, and 6, respectively (p< 0.001 for all). Remission (MADRS ≤10) was achieved by 5.7%, 16.2%, and 46.0% of patients at Weeks 1, 2, and 6, respectively. Improvement in functioning, measured by the SDS, was seen starting at Week 1 (p < 0.001). Improvements in MADRS and SDS were sustained at Month 12.

Long-term treatment with AXS-05 was generally well tolerated. The most commonly reported adverse events were COVID-19 infection (8.9%), nausea (8.9%), headache (7.5%), dry mouth (6.2%), insomnia (5.5%), and dizziness (5.5%).

AXS-05 improved depression and functioning in patients who failed one prior antidepressant in the current MDE.

Treatments for bipolar disorder are often associated with increased rates of metabolic syndrome (MetSy). MetSy is defined as meeting 3 of the following 5 criteria: waist circumference >40in (men) or >35in (women), triglycerides ≥150mg/dL, high density lipoprotein cholesterol <40mg/dL (men) or <50mg/dL (women), systolic blood pressure (BP) ≥130mmHg or diastolic BP ≥85mmHg, fasting glucose ≥100mg/dL.

MetSy elevates the risk of developing type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and premature morbidity. Lumateperone (LUMA), a mechanistically novel antipsychotic that simultaneously modulates serotonin, dopamine, and glutamate neurotransmission, is FDA-approved for the treatment of schizophrenia and depressive episodes associated with bipolar I or bipolar II disorder. This distinct pharmacological profile has been associated with favorable tolerability and a low risk of adverse metabolic effects in clinical trials.

LUMA 42-mg monotherapy was evaluated in 2 randomized, double-blind, placebo (PBO)-controlled studies (Study 401 [NCT02600494]; Study 404 [NCT03249376]) in patients with a major depressive episode (MDE) associated with bipolar I or bipolar II disorder. This post hoc pooled analysis of these studies compares rates of MetSy with LUMA 42 mg and PBO in the treatment of bipolar depression.

The incidence and shift in MetSy were analyzed in data pooled from 2 studies that recruited patients aged 18–75 years with a confirmed diagnosis of bipolar I or bipolar II disorder who were experiencing an MDE (Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale [MADRS] Total score ≥20 and Clinical Global Impression Scale-Bipolar Version-Severity [CGI-BP-S] score ≥4). Patients in these studies were randomized 1:1 to LUMA or PBO and treated for 6 weeks.

The safety population comprised 746 patients (LUMA, 372; PBO, 374). Rates of MetSy were similar between groups at baseline (LUMA, 20.7%; PBO, 22.2%) and at the end of treatment (EOT, LUMA, 21.8%; PBO, 23.8%). More LUMA patients (36.4%) compared with PBO patients (30.1%) improved from having MetSy at baseline to no longer meeting MetSy criteria at EOT. The individual criteria that shifted the most from meeting MetSy criteria at baseline to no longer meeting criteria at EOT was BP for LUMA (46.8%) and glucose for PBO (43.2%). The rate of MetSy developed during treatment was similar for LUMA (10.8%) and PBO (10.7%) with approximately half of these patients (LUMA, 43.8%; PBO, 45.2%) shifting due to a change in ≥2 criteria.

In this post hoc analysis of 2 randomized, PBO-controlled trials in patients with a MDE associated with bipolar I or bipolar II disorder, LUMA 42 mg had similar rates of MetSy compared with PBO. These results suggest that LUMA 42 mg is a promising new treatment for bipolar depression with a favorable metabolic profile.

As a new communication tool, short videos have significantly impacted modern society. Their high degree of information concentration, visual impact, and broad audience have become essential for disseminating urban culture. The dissemination of short videos significantly impacts people’s social anxiety.

The experiment used questionnaire surveys, in-depth interviews, and content analysis to select 500 residents living in Chongqing for a one-year follow-up study. The research focuses on short video dissemination strategies, the acceptance of Chongqing urban culture, and the social anxiety of the audience. We evaluated it using the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and analyzed the data using SPSS.

The study found that 70% of the audience understood and loved Chongqing’s urban culture better through short videos, indicating that the research method has significantly improved the acceptance of Chongqing’s urban culture. However, audiences relying excessively on short videos as a source of information are more likely to develop social anxiety, with 30% feeling uneasy and nervous in real-life social situations.

The short video communication strategy based on communication psychology provides an effective method for promoting urban culture, but it may also exacerbate the social anxiety disorder of some audiences. This suggests that while promoting urban culture, we should also pay attention to the psychological impact of short videos and develop more healthy and balanced communication strategies.

Early onset of bipolar disorder is associated with high rates of psychiatric comorbidity (e.g., anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD), high rates of recurrence, and marked impairment in functioning and quality of life. The aim of this analysis was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of lurasidone in bipolar depression in youth and young adult patients (10–30 years old).

Data from two 6-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies of lurasidone monotherapy for bipolar I depression were pooled for this analysis. In the 1st study, patients 10–17 years old were evaluated using the Children’s Depression Rating Scale–Revised (CDRS-R) and the Clinical Global Impression-Bipolar Severity (CGI-BP-S) depression scale; in the 2nd study, a subgroup of adult patients (18–30 years old) were evaluated by CGI-BP-A, and the MADRS, with the latter being converted to a CDRS-R scores using a validated conversion algorithm.

The safety population consisted of 465 patients (mean age, 17.1 years; mean age of onset, 14.1; mean CDRS-R total score, 60.8). 400 patients (85.7%) completed the study. For lurasidone vs. placebo, LS mean Week 6 change was -21.4 vs. -15.3 for the CDRS-R total score (P<0.0001; ES, 0.46); and -1.6 vs. -1.1 for the CGI-BP-S score (P<0.0001; ES, 0.50). Adverse events (≥5%) on lurasidone vs. placebo were nausea (15.9% vs. 5.2%), headache (15.1% vs. 13.1%), somnolence (7.9% vs. 3.8%), vomiting (5.2% vs. 3.3%), and weight increase (5.2% vs. 2.3%). No clinically meaningful changes were observed in weight, metabolic parameters, or prolactin.

In this post-hoc analysis of two placebo-controlled trials, lurasidone demonstrated clinically meaningful improvement of depressive symptoms in youth and young adults with bipolar depression. Lurasidone was generally safe, well-tolerated, and associated with minimal effects on weight, metabolic parameters, and prolactin.

Advertising plays a crucial role in modern commercial society as a means of information transmission. It not only affects consumers’ purchasing decisions but may also have a particular impact on their mental health. This study explores in depth how innovative advertising design strategies affect consumer psychology, focusing on their potential impact on patients with borderline personality disorders.

The experiment used three methods: questionnaire survey, psychological experiment, and in-depth interview to select 800 consumers, including 100 diagnosed borderline personality disorder patients, for a 6-month observation experiment. The Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) self-test was used to evaluate the patient’s status. The experimental data was statistically analyzed using SPSS 26.0.

Research shows that innovative advertising design strategies can significantly enhance consumers’ interest and willingness to purchase products, with 80% of respondents indicating an impulse to purchase after being influenced by such advertisements. However, for 60% of patients with borderline personality disorder, such advertisements may trigger impulsive purchases and emotional instability, and patients report feeling more anxious and unstable.

Innovative advertising design strategies significantly impact consumer psychology, promoting their willingness to purchase. Still, they may also have adverse psychological effects on specific groups, especially patients with borderline personality disorders.

Drama art, as a diverse art form, provides practitioners with a unique way of self-expression through role-playing, situational simulation, and emotional expression. Personnel engaged in theatrical performances often experience psychological injuries due to uncontrollable factors such as insufficient rehearsals, which can develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Based on this background, this study aims to analyze the correlation between the two.

This study used both qualitative and quantitative methods. Through in-depth interviews, questionnaire surveys, and psychological tests, 300 theatrical art practitioners were selected for a 12-month follow-up study. Evaluate the patient’s status using the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Self-Rating Scale (PTSD-SS). During the experiment, SPSS 24.0 was used for statistical data analysis.

The study found that compared to practitioners who are less involved in theatrical expression, practitioners who frequently participate in theatrical art expression have a lower proportion of PTSD after experiencing traumatic events. In addition, practitioners who delve into theatrical role-playing and emotional expression have more positive and healthy emotional regulation abilities and strategies for coping with trauma.

The expression of theatrical art provides practitioners with a powerful psychological adjustment tool, which helps them confront and prevent post-traumatic psychological disorders. This provides a new approach to treatment and intervention in the mental health field and brings new value and significance to drama art education and practice.

Earlier onset of schizophrenia, which occurs more commonly in males, is characterized by greater illness severity, chronicity, and functional impairment with a less favorable prognosis than later-onset schizophrenia. The aim of this pooled analysis was to evaluate the long-term safety and effectiveness of lurasidone in the treatment of schizophrenia in adolescents (13–17 years) and young adults (18–25 years).

The 2 pooled studies used similar designs and outcome measures. Patients (13–25 years) with schizophrenia completed an initial double-blind 6-week trial of lurasidone (40 and 80 mg/d), and (80 and 160 mg/d) in the young adult trial. In the open-label long-term trials, adolescent patients were treated with 20-80 mg/d of lurasidone, and adults were treated with 40–160 mg/d of lurasidone. Efficacy was evaluated based on the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and Clinical Global Impression-Severity Scale (CGI-S).

The safety population consisted of 306 patients (mean age, 16.2 years; 208 patients (68.0%) who completed 12 months of treatment; 8.2% discontinued by 12 months due to an adverse event. Mean (SD) change in the PANSS total score from extension Baseline to Months 6 and 12 was -11.8 (13.9) and -15.3 (15.0), respectively (OC); and mean (SD) change in the CGI-S score was -0.8 (1.0) and -1.0 (1.1), respectively (OC). The most frequent adverse events were headache (17.6%), anxiety (11.4%), schizophrenia (9.8%), and nausea (9.8). No clinically meaningful changes were observed in weight, metabolic parameters, or prolactin.

In adolescents and young adults with schizophrenia, treatment with lurasidone was generally well-tolerated and effective. Long-term treatment was associated with continued reduction in symptoms of schizophrenia. Long-term treatment was associated with minimal effects on weight, metabolic parameters, and prolactin.

The online blended teaching mode combines the advantages of online and offline teaching, providing more flexible and diverse teaching methods for modern education. However, the impact of this teaching model on students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has not been thoroughly studied. The experiment analyzes the effects of online blended teaching mode in vocational colleges based on educational psychology on ADHD students.

The experiment selected 500 vocational college students, including 100 students diagnosed with ADHD. Through a semester-long online blended learning experiment, combined with questionnaire surveys, academic performance analysis, and in-depth interviews, we aim to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of this teaching model on ADHD students. The Cornell Parent Rating Scale was used to assess the student’s status, and SPSS24.0 was used to process the data.

Research shows that the online blended learning mode can enhance the learning motivation of ADHD students, with 70% of ADHD students indicating that they are more likely to concentrate. However, excessive online teaching time may make this group of students more easily distracted. Academic performance analysis shows that a reasonable blended teaching ratio can effectively improve the academic performance of ADHD students.

The online blended teaching model based on educational psychology in vocational colleges positively impacts ADHD students. Still, it also needs to be adjusted and optimized according to the characteristics of these students to achieve educational fairness and improve educational effectiveness.

Psychosis is defined as the presence of false beliefs or false perceptions. In children some causes of psychosis include psychiatric diagnosis such as schizophrenia and autism. However, it may also be secondary to medical conditions like various forms of encephalitis. Studies have shown that IVIG has been efficacious in the treatment of psychosis in the setting of autoimmune encephalitis.

A 9-year-old girl with a past medical history of Turner Syndrome, developmental delay, epilepsy, growth hormone deficiency, metabolic bone disease, and autism (ASD) presented with auditory and visual hallucinations that began June 2020. She began with her hearing voices that repeated the word “dead” and told her that she would not live. The hallucination later took the form of a man that would mock her, laugh about her parents dying, and tell her to kill them. The patient had associated symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, sadness, and increased anger. On her initial admission, CSF studies including culture and gram strain were unremarkable. NMDA, VHKC, and GAD65 antibodies were negative. At this time the hallucinations were thought to be due to ASD and she was prescribed Risperdal 0.25mg twice a day. Unfortunately, this did not improve her symptoms and from the time period of June 2020 to May 2021 she subsequently underwent trials of Risperdal, Zyprexa, Invega, Abilify, Thorazine, Haldol, and Clozaril. However, the symptoms persisted. Zoloft was prescribed, which was efficacious for anger and dysphoria. Trazodone, melatonin, and Remeron were tried for the treatment of insomnia, but did not cause enough improvement to continue the medications. Due to progression of command hallucinations with “the man” instructing her to hurt others, the patient was admitted July 2021 for administration of IVIG. Repeat CSF studies and brain MRI were unremarkable. From July 29, 2021 to August 1, 2021 she received three doses of IVIG which resulted in improvement of psychosis. Prior to administration, she was seeing “the man” throughout the day every single day, was sleeping only 3–4 hours a night, and having nightmares everyday. On evaluation 2 weeks after IVIG, she was only seeing “the man” 1–2 time a day, sleeping 6–8 hours a night, having nightmares 1–2 times a week, and her mood had improved.

This case illustrates the potential use of IVIG for the treatment of treatment-resistant psychosis. Although the cause of this patient’s symptoms remains unclear, there were clear benefits from the administration of IVIG that were not seen with trials of antipsychotics.

We sought to examine real-world treatment patterns and healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) for patients receiving an antipsychotic (AP) and subsequently prescribed benztropine.

A retrospective analysis was conducted among patients with evidence of benztropine initiation using claims data from IQVIA’s New Data Warehouse from January 2017–March 2020. Patients were indexed on the date of first pharmacy claim for benztropine and had continuous enrollment in the 6 months prior (pre-index) and minimum 12 months post-index date, up to 24 months. Patients also had ≥1 pharmacy claim for an AP either pre-index or on the index date.

A total of 112,542 patients were included; 59% were female with mean age of 46 years. The most common comorbidities were bipolar disorder (BD; 28.3%), schizophrenia (SCZ; 28.3%), and depression (26.3%). Over half of the cohort (54.1%) had ≥2 comorbid conditions. Nearly 20% of patients had ≥20 medications (median 10–14) and medications with anticholinergic (AC) properties were used by 87.9%. Approximately 80% of patients had mild AC burden at baseline (using AC burden calculator). The median number of benztropine prescription fills was 5 with treatment duration <3 months in 44.3% of patients and <6 months in 61.7%. All-cause mean healthcare costs in the 12-month cohort (24-month cohort) were $11,755 ($23,128), mean costs for pharmacy were $9,229 ($18,148), and mean costs for inpatient stays were $34,669 ($41,280). Emergency room (ER) visits occurred in 47.3% and physician office visits in 78.9% of the cohort. In patients with available inpatient 12-month data (n=33,717), inpatient stays occurred in 4.0% (13.3% when extrapolated to total cohort). In patients with 24-month data (n=73,836), ER visits occurred in 61% of the cohort and inpatient stays in 6.6% (21.9% when extrapolated to the total cohort). Multivariate analyses showed baseline SCZ was associated with a significantly increased risk of ER visit of 30% and inpatient stay of 50%. Similarly, substance abuse was associated with an increased risk of ER visit of 85% and inpatient stay of about 40%. Other significant associations with ER visits included falls/accidents at baseline (148% increased risk), abnormal movement disorders (38% increased risk), and orthostatic hypotension (38% increased risk).

In this real-world analysis of patients initiating benztropine, polypharmacy and AC burden were frequently observed. BD, SCZ, and depression were the most common comorbidities. Healthcare costs and HCRU were high for the entire cohort; inpatient stays contributed to high costs. Baseline SCZ, falls/accidents (ER only), and substance abuse were significantly associated with ER and inpatient admissions. The comorbidity and medication profiles of this cohort may have influenced the high healthcare costs and HCRU observed in the study.

As an essential direction of higher education reform, curriculum thinking and politics aims to guide and shape students’ thoughts and behaviors in their daily study and life through curriculum content and educational methods. As a common psychological disorder, bipolar disorder (BD) has an essential influence on the research and life of college students. This study explores the effect of ideological and political integration in guiding students with bipolar disorder.

The study employed a random selection process to choose a cohort of 500 college students, among whom 50 had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The research employed a combination of questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and psychological tests while assessing the patients’ condition using the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD). The collected data were subsequently analyzed using SPSS 24.0.

The study found that the student management mode of ideological and political integration can effectively improve the psychological adaptability of students with bipolar disorder. 75% of the students with bipolar disorder said that their emotional fluctuations are reduced, and their learning motivation and concentration are improved under this management mode. In addition, this management style also enhances their recognition and acceptance of social and school norms.

The integration of ideological and political education in curriculum management has a positive guiding effect on students with bipolar disorder, which can help them better adapt to school life and improve their academic and mental health levels. It is recommended that universities further strengthen the research and application of this management method to serve the majority of students better.

With the popularization of higher education, the employment competition faced by college students is becoming increasingly fierce, leading to many college students experiencing employment anxiety disorders. This study combines the principles of educational psychology and ideological and political education methods, aiming to construct and implement an innovative teaching model and explore its practical effects on alleviating employment anxiety disorders among college students.

This study selected 1,000 graduating college students, 500 as the experimental group receiving innovative teaching modes and 500 as the control group. The experiment lasted for three months, and the employment anxiety disorder of two groups of students was evaluated using the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). We use SPSS 24.0 to process the data.

The data showed that the employment anxiety index of college students in the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). In addition, the students in the experimental group showed high confidence and positive attitude in employment strategy planning, self-efficacy, and career orientation.

The innovative teaching model that combines educational psychology and ideological and political education significantly alleviates the employment anxiety disorder of college students and can help them face employment challenges healthier and more actively. It is recommended that more universities introduce such innovative models to provide more comprehensive and in-depth employment guidance for college students.

Patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) who have inadequate responses to antidepressants (ADs) can benefit from augmentation with atypical antipsychotics (AAs). Cariprazine, a D3/D2 receptor partial agonist, is approved for schizophrenia and for manic, mixed, or depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder. Cariprazine is also currently under investigation for the adjunctive treatment of MDD. The aim of this retrospective cohort study was to describe healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) and associated medical costs with cariprazine and other adjunctive AA therapies for MDD.

IBM® MarketScan Commercial Claims and Encounters, Medicare Supplemental, and Medicaid databases were searched for claims made from 01-Jan-2018 to 31-Mar-2021. The study population included adults (≥18 years) who met the following criteria: ≥1 inpatient claim with an MDD diagnosis or ≥2 outpatient claims that were >30 days apart; ≥1 AD therapy after MDD diagnosis; ≥1 branded or generic adjunctive AA (with AD); enrollment for ≥6 and ≥12 months for baseline and follow-up analyses, respectively. Branded AAs were analyzed individually; generic AAs were grouped. MDD-related HCRU outcomes per person over the 12-month follow-up period included inpatient stays, inpatient costs, office visits, and office visit costs, with adjusted pairwise comparisons between cariprazine and other AAs. Statistical significance was defined as the 95% confidence interval (CI) for the estimated mean ratio (EMR) of comparator AA to cariprazine not including 1 (i.e., value indicating no difference).

Analyses included 46,197 patients, with AA cohorts as follows: generics (n=39,410, including mostly aripiprazole and quetiapine); brexpiprazole (n=3,249); lurasidone (n=1,795); cariprazine (n=1,051); quetiapine-XR (n=644). A majority of patients across cohorts were women (range, 65.7% to 75.4%). Inpatient stays were statistically significantly fewer with cariprazine than all other AA therapies (EMR range [95% CI]: 1.7 [1.2–2.3] to 2.9 [2.1–3.9] for brexpiprazole and generics, respectively). Inpatient costs were lower for cariprazine than other branded AAs and statistically significantly lower compared to generics (2.4 [1.6–4.1]). Office visits were fewer with cariprazine than all other AAs and significantly lower than generics (1.1 [1.03–1.2]), lurasidone (1.3 [1.2–1.4]), and brexpiprazole (1.4 [1.2–1.5]). Office visit costs were also lower for cariprazine than all other AAs and statistically significantly lower than lurasidone (1.2 [1.03–1.5) and brexpiprazole (1.4 [1.2–1.6]).

The results of this study suggest that in patients with MDD, adjunctive treatment with cariprazine is associated with statistically significantly lower HCRU for certain outcomes and numerically lower medical costs compared to other branded AAs, along with statistically significantly lower HCRU and medical costs versus generic Aas.

Bipolar I disorder (BP-I) is associated with a high humanistic and economic burden. Evidence suggests that BP-I is often misdiagnosed as major depressive disorder (MDD), but the unmet needs associated with BP-I misdiagnosis are unknown. This study compares socioeconomic, healthcare-related quality of life (HRQoL), and healthcare resource utilization (HRU) burdens of participants diagnosed with BP-I vs participants who screened as probable for BP-I but were diagnosed only with MDD.

Using responses to the 2020 National Health and Wellness Survey, respondents were categorized into cohorts of potentially misdiagnosed BP-I (i.e., self-reported physician diagnosis of MDD but screened as probable BP-I [mBP-I]) or BP-I (i.e., self-reported physician diagnosis of BP-I, stratified by BP-I severity). Baseline characteristics were evaluated using bivariate analyses. HRQoL (Short Form-36v2 Health Survey [SF36v2] mental and physical component scores, EuroQol Five-Dimension Visual Analogue Scale [EQ-5D VAS]), HRU, were evaluated using multivariable analyses adjusting for key baseline differences.

There were 302 respondents in the mBP-I cohort and 818 in the BP-I cohort (mild=336, moderate=285, severe=197). Adults with mBP-I were similar in age and level of depression and anxiety to those with moderate and severe BP-I. With respect to HRQoL, the mBP-I cohort had significantly worse SF36v2 mental component scores and EQ-5D VAS scores vs the mild BP-I cohort (31.3 vs 40.3 [P<.001] and 60.6 vs 69.4 [P=.01], respectively) and statistically similar scores vs the moderate BP-I cohort. SF36v2 physical component scores were statistically similar to those of the mild BP-I cohort. Respondents with mBP-I reported similar rates of provider (5.5 vs 6.1 [P=.63]) and ER visits (.34 vs .40 [P=.59]) to patients with mild BP-I (but significantly fewer hospitalizations: .08 vs .19 [P=.03]).

Respondents with mBP-I exhibited similar HRQoL scores to those with mild to moderate BP-I. As expected for patients without a formal BP-I diagnosis, HRU was lower for mBP-I patients than moderate or severe BP-I, but comparable with mild BP-I. These results suggest that patients with potentially misdiagnosed BP-I may experience considerable HRQoL and HRU burdens akin to those of patients with mild to moderate BP-I.

To adapt to the development of the industry, universities actively explore the training mode of applied financial investment talents. However, whether students with social anxiety disorder can adjust and grow smoothly in this new teaching environment has not been thoroughly studied. This study aims to analyze the specific impact of a new applied financial investment talent training model on students with social anxiety disorder.

Six hundred students majoring in financial investment from a particular university were selected, of which 100 were diagnosed with social anxiety disorder. In a 6-month new teaching model experiment, students’ learning attitudes, social abilities, and emotional fluctuations were comprehensively evaluated using the Social Anxiety Scale (LSAS).

Research has found that students with social anxiety disorder significantly improve their learning engagement and initiative under the new training mode. Among them, 73% of patients stated that they experienced a significant sense of achievement in group collaboration and practical applications, and social anxiety symptoms were alleviated to a certain extent. However, some students still feel pressure during large-scale public demonstrations or speeches.

The new model of cultivating applied financial investment talents in universities can, to some extent, help students with social anxiety disorders establish confidence, improve social skills, and encourage them to participate more actively in learning. However, at the same time, in response to their specific needs, universities still need to strengthen mental health education and personalized guidance to ensure the comprehensiveness and fairness of education.

Functional recovery is a treatment goal that goes beyond symptomatic remission and encompasses multiple aspects of schizophrenia patients’ lives, including quality of life, physical, and mental functioning. There is evidence that long-acting injectable (LAI) treatments promote adherence and reduce rehospitalisation and functional decline, which could facilitate patients’ ability to reach functional recovery. Despite this, LAIs are underused in the first-episode (FEP) and early-phase (EP) patient population, due to physician hesitancy and concerns around stigma. A Delphi panel was held to gain expert consensus on an approach to the domains and assessment of functional recovery elements in FEP and EP schizophrenia patients.

A literature review and input from a steering committee of 5 experts in psychiatry informed statements development for a three-round modified Delphi process. Round one was conducted via one-to-one video conference interviews, and the successive rounds were conducted via electronic surveys, which enabled international collaboration. Statements on the different domains and assessment for functional recovery were presented to 17 psychiatrists, practicing in 7 countries (France, Italy, US, Germany, Spain, Denmark, and UK), experienced in the treatment of schizophrenia with LAIs. Several analysis rules determined whether a statement could progress to the next round and specified the level of agreement required to achieve consensus. Measures of central tendency (mode, mean) and variability (interquartile range) were reported back to help panelists look at their previous responses in the context of the overall group.

A consensus was reached (defined a priori as ≥80% agreement) on all 27 statements covering the dimensions, assessment, and level of achieved functional recovery for FEP and EP patients. The following domains are important to consider when assessing functional recovery: depression, aggressive behaviour, social interaction, family functioning, education/employment, sexual functioning, and leisure activities. Additionally, panellists reached consensus that dimensions should be minimally impairing, if present (excluding sexual functioning) and asked about at every encounter with the patient (excluding sexual functioning and leisure activities). In summary, this Delphi panel yielded agreement that functional recovery is multidimensional and should be assessed regularly as part of usual care on an individual patient level in FEP and EP schizophrenia patients.

With the complexity of enterprises’ operating environment, employees face increasing work pressure and task requirements, which may increase anxiety symptoms. Effective financial performance management can improve enterprises’ economic benefits and create a more stable and positive work atmosphere for employees. This study explores the effectiveness of innovative financial performance management models in alleviating employee anxiety.

Five companies were selected for innovative financial performance management models, with 1,200 employees participating in the study. The study subjects were evaluated using the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA). The experiment lasts one year and tracks, studies, and evaluates employees’ anxiety symptoms and job satisfaction.

Through the innovation of the financial performance management model, 75% of employees stated that their work pressure was significantly alleviated. At the same time, employee job satisfaction increased by 23%. In the mental health assessment, anxiety symptoms among employees who experienced innovative management models decreased by 18% compared to before the reform.

The innovation of enterprise financial performance management mode not only promotes the economic benefits of the enterprise but also effectively alleviates employees’ anxiety symptoms and improves their job satisfaction. To ensure the sustained and healthy development of enterprises and the psychological health of employees, it is recommended that more enterprises consider innovating and optimizing their financial performance management models.

Schizophrenia is among the top ten causes of years lost due to disability. Goals of treatment are evolving beyond remission of psychotic symptoms to include physical and mental functioning, quality of life, and long-term functional recovery. Evidence has shown long-acting injectables (LAIs) are beneficial for schizophrenia patients by increasing treatment adherence and decreasing relapse and rehospitalisation. This potentially reduces disease progression and facilitates functional recovery. However, LAIs are underused and often seen as a last resort for first-episode (FEP) and early-phase (EP) patients, due to physicians’ lack of familiarity and stigma.

LAI treatment in FEP and EP patients increases adherence and reduces treatment burden and functional decline compared to the same and other oral medication. Additionally, there was consensus that LAIs lead to better treatment outcome and functional recovery. Other important factors to achieving functional recovery include patient attitude towards treatment and psychoeducation. Furthermore, consensus was reached that functional recovery and quality of life are linked. In summary, this Delphi panel yielded agreement that functional recovery is a reachable goal for FEP and EP patients and can be enhanced using LAIs.

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impaired social interaction, communication abilities, and repetitive behavior. With the development of technology, virtual reality (VR) technology has brought new possibilities for treating autism. This study aims to explore the positive impact of VIRTOOLS distributed virtual reality technology on autism patients from a sociopsychological perspective.

This study comprised a cohort of 80 patients diagnosed with autism, with ages ranging from 6 to 18 years. A six-month structured training program was implemented utilizing a distributed virtual reality (VR) application developed using VIRTOOLS. The program encompassed simulated training for social interaction, emotion recognition, and fundamental daily life skills. To evaluate the effectiveness, pre- and post-training comparisons were made using standardized autism assessment tools and social interaction assessments. The data generated from the experiment were subjected to statistical analysis employing SPSS 24.0.

Compared with before training, the study subjects showed significant improvements in social interaction, emotional recognition, and daily life skills after training (P<0.01). Among them, 70% of participants’ social skills improved, and 60% performed more accurately in emotion recognition tasks.

From the perspective of social psychology, utilizing VIRTOOLS-based distributed VR technology provides a safe and controlled environment for patients with autism, helping them improve their social interaction and communication skills. This technology offers a promising new approach to treating and rehabilitating patients with autism.
