Summary

Jornalia roll of William of Pershore, chamberlain of the Exchequer.

Physical description: A roll of two rotulets, sewn together at the top, the second of which comprises three membranes. The chamberlain's record of issues is on the second rotulet; in good condition and wholly legible.

Scope of transcription: Entries relating to St Stephen's chapel; dates have been extracted from the left-hand column and details of payment from the right-hand column.

Collated roll:

E 405/1/3, a largely duplicate roll, probably of the second chamberlain, Richard of Louth.

Physical description: A roll of three membranes, sewn end-to-end; the top of the first membrane is torn and stained at the top, with loss of text, including any heading which may have been there, but in reasonable condition and mostly legible.

Scope of transcription: Entries relating to St Stephen's chapel have been collated.
