Summary
Memorandum of repair works to be undertaken in the palace of Westminster, Tower of London and the king's mews at Charing Cross in the first four years of the reign of Edward II, beginning on the first day of his reign and ending exactly four years later, probably compiled by the king's surveyor or clerk of works.
Physical description: Roll of one membrane; soiled, but wholly intact and legible.
Scope of transcription: Entries relating to the repair of chapel(s) and houses of the king's chaplains in the palace of Westminster.

Memorandum that here is recorded the great part of the works ordained and made in the palace of Westminster, Tower of London and the king's mews by Westminster in the times of King Edward [II], son of King Edward [I], namely from the beginning of the first year of his reign until the end of the fourth year of the same [1307–11] […]
Concerning various chambers around the little hall by the planning and direction of Lord Walter Reynolds, then treasurer,1 Lord John of Berwick and other magnates and surveyors assigned to advise and direct the present works, namely Richard of Reepham, William de Leyre and John le Convers, with privies, chimneys, partitions, here now wholly erected and constructed anew […]
