The following is a correction for an error that appeared in Visual Neuroscience, 12:6. In the article “The modulatory cholinergic system in goldfish tectum may be necessary for retinotopic sharpening” by John T. Schmidt (pp. 1093–1103), the injection volume in the caption for figure 8 should be 8 μl and not 4 μl as stated. The caption should read as follows:
“Fig. 8. Rhodamine fluorescence in a transverse section through tectum of a fish that received two lC injections of 8 μl of 5% rhodamine conjugated to bovine serum albumin, at 30 h and at 6 h before sacrifice. The right tectum (T) is shown with dorsal surface upward, the tectal ventricle (TV), and valvula (V) of the cerebellum downward. The midline is just past the right margin of the photomicrograph, and the injections were into the PMF just above the midline. Note the general gradient from dorsal to ventral.”
