Summary
This chapter explains the rules around non-CCT CESR, a less familiar type of application through which doctors can apply for a specialism outside the usual six psychiatry CCT specialties based on overseas experience in specialisms that might not exist in the UK. The rule can make it easier for doctors working in more niche specialties like neuropsychiatry, eating disorders, rehabilitation psychiatry, addictions, liaison psychiatry or early intervention in psychosis. The list is not exhaustive.
