Summary

Reflection or mindfulness is a stance that involves us in the sense or meaning of things. In §16 of Contributions Heidegger defines philosophy as a knowledge that does not seek to be “useful” and that arises from within reflection on or mindfulness of the sense that informs our engagement with the world.
