This article presents a didactic experience in teacher training carried out in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. The training was carried out on the occasion of a total solar eclipse taking place in this region on July 2, 2019. Prior to this event, the authors, members of NASE, developed training meetings of the Ministry of Education of Santa Fe , on topics of Astronomy. From these workshops, participants of all educational levels with different specialties, carried out with their students school science activities where they applied Astronomy with an interdisciplinary perspective. In this way, the eclipse became an event that made possible an enrichment of astronomical education in the region.

We investigate the geomagnetic field variations recorded by INTERMAGNET geomagnetic observatories. We confirm that the effect of solar eclipse can be seen over an interval of 180 minutes centered at the time of maximum eclipse on a site of a geomagnetic observatory. It is found that the effect of the solar eclipse on the geomagnetic field becomes conspicuous as the magnitude of a solar eclipse becomes larger. The effect of solar eclipses is more evident in the second half of the path of Moon’s shadow. We also find that the effect can be overwhelmed, more sensitively by geomagnetic disturbances than by solar activity of solar cycle.

The performance of the solar cell is influenced by the spectral solar distribution. The silicon solar cell spectral response does not totally coincide with the solar spectrum. In the case of sun light exposure at outdoor conditions, the shapes of the cell spectral response curves are slightly different than that of under simulated light exposure. This paper is interested in studying the effect of variation of solar radiation during the partial eclipse on the output short circuit current and open circuit voltage of the monocrystalline and amorphous silicon solar cells. Also, the spectral cell behaveiour in terms of the solar eclipse was investigated. The ultimate goal is to explain some of an interesting natural phenomenon by using the solar cell spectral response.
