During the copyediting process, the terms ‘digital dialogue’ and ‘dialogue’ in the accepted version of the article were replaced with ‘digital dialog’ and ‘dialog’. The article was published with these alterations to the author’s language.

‘Dialogue’ is a technical term used in the peacebuilding field and at the UN level. It has a specific meaning as a tool of peacebuilding and multilateral diplomacy. The alterations made during production therefore changed the meaning of the article.

Given that this terminology is key to understanding the article, we have updated the text of the published article with the author’s original language.
