Perspectives on Politics is APSA’s official venue for book reviews. It reviews approximately 375 books every year, centering on the four main subfields: Political Theory, American Politics, Comparative Politics, and International Relations. Beyond conventional essays reviewing single books, Perspectives utilizes a number of other formats for discussing books, such as "Critical Dialogues" in which two authors engage each other's new publications. From time to time, the journal will also feature special thematic review sections that cross traditional subfields.
Book review submissions are now processed through the Editorial Manager on-line system. The review section does not accept unsolicited reviews, nor does it accept requests to review particular books.
