Abstract

Prospects for preparation of two-component dense optical materials for scintillators are shown, using data on phase diagrams of about 300 MFm - RFn (m, n ≤ 4) type systems, formed by metal fluorides. Primary characteristics (decay time and light output of luminescence, radiation hardness, etc.) of some multicomponent crystals are reported.
