Summary
The preceding chapter gave an overview of our scholars' visions of Jewish education. Each of the next six chapters will be devoted to a single scholar, beginning with the scholar's essay, prepared for our project and used as a basis for the deliberations with the educators, followed by a supplementary section highlighting materials, culled from the scholar's other writings, that amplify his point of view and thus enhance the understanding of his work. Some of the supplementary sections also include notes from the scholar's meetings with the educators, focusing on the implications of the scholar's conception for the practice of Jewish education.
