Summary
Neurology is a challenging medical specialty and has been rated by undergraduates and postgraduates to be more difficult than any other discipline from a theoretical context. Many doctors have poor confidence performing neurological examinations ‘at the bedside’ leading to clinical skills being neglected and patients receiving poor assessments. This may potentially lead to delayed or misdiagnosis, patient harm or costly and unnecessary investigations.
