Summary
Indicators are important within sexual and reproductive health (SRH) as they can be used to evaluate service quality, aid in the development of new policies and ensure resources are correctly allocated, according to the needs of the population. Indicators can help healthcare professionals to understand the health and behaviours of a population. Thus, they can be used to guide the development of robust, accessible and appropriate services and to highlight methods in which optimal SRH can be achieved.
