Case 38 - Pharyngeal Plasmacytoma

Summary

A 65-year-old man presented with a 1-month history of sore throat. A mass was endoscopically detected in his right posterior oropharyngeal wall, which was covered by normal mucosa (Figure 1). An excisional biopsy of the lesion was performed. Further clinical examination, including bone scan, revealed no other lesions.
