Summary

A 16-year-old boy presented with a 4-month history of continuous dull pain in the upper right region of his face. A hard mass could be appreciated in the right zygomatic region. CT scan demonstrated a 6 × 5 cm solid lesion with finely punctate calcific margins, localized within the right maxillary sinus, with invasion of the soft tissues anteriorly and of the ethmoid and the orbit superiorly (Figure 1). The lesion showed inhomogeneous uptake of the contrast medium. The mass was surgically excised with a conservative maxillectomy procedure. The patient has no evidence of disease after a follow-up of 13 months.
