Summary
On Friday, May 22, 2020, former Full House actress Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, entered guilty pleas admitting to engaging in a multipronged bribery and fraud scheme, dubbed “Varsity Blues.” The gist of the Varsity Blues scheme was that parents, with the help of a much sought-after college consultant, would bribe college coaches for highly coveted athletic admission spots on various sports teams, create fraudulent profiles falsely portraying their children’s athletic prowess, and have professional test-takers take their ACT or SAT by securing special testing accommodations.1
