Original spelling and punctuation have been retained, but printing errors have been silently corrected. To item viii, La Borde's ‘Ballet Pantomime’, have been added (in modern type) annotations from the manuscript rehearsal score (Médée et Jason, Paris, Bibliothèque de l'Opéra de Paris, ms A.236.a) where they are different from those on the engraved score. Bar numbers and orchestration have also been added for ease of reference.
