Summary
Recent times have seen the schema therapy approach exponentially expand in recognition and acceptance. It is now a gold-standard treatment that is recommended by national and international treatment guidelines and is evolving and flourishing throughout the world. The schema therapy model has been richly developed, allowing the approach to be utilised for a wide-ranging array of clinical problems and difficulties. Most importantly, it has dramatically assisted the lives of many individuals who were struggling with emotional challenges that therapists previously found difficult to address in therapy.
I’m very excited to see Rob Brockman, Susan Simpson, Christopher Hayes, Remco Van Der Wijngaart, and Matthew Smout collaborate to create a new comprehensive resource to assist those learning the schema therapy model. These authors are longstanding members of the schema therapy global community and have been at the forefront of treatment, training, and research.
