Summary
The fore-structure is a threefold structure of fore-having, fore-sight, and fore-conception, which is involved in every interpretation. This structure is at the core of Heidegger’s generalization of hermeneutics from a theory of textual or historical interpretation to an ontology of human existence in its being-in-the-world.
