The Editors and JLAS community bid a very fond farewell and happy retirement to Celia Barlow, the journal's Managing Editor for nearly three decades. With her keen memory, thoughtfulness, generosity and empathy, Celia has connected authors, editors, reviewers and Cambridge University Press, starting in an analogue era and moving seamlessly to the digital system. Her positive and professional attitude throughout her time at the journal, and her support to all involved, have made JLAS the unique scholarly community that it continues to be. Her grace, diplomacy and resilience in building, maintaining and fostering all aspects of the journal will be sorely missed: JLAS wishes her well for her retirement.
