The Honorary Fellowship citation for Dr Sheila Mann () stated that for a considerable period she was the only psychiatrist on the General Medical Council (GMC). Dr Mann was in fact one of two psychiatrists working for the GMC at that time; the other was Dr Pearl Hettiaratchy.
