Editorial note

1 Mr Sandon has indicated that he does not wish to continue compiling future editions and supplements of this register. For the time being, correspondents should send details of their research to the Editor, at the editorial address given on page iii of this issue. Such details will be filed for publication and passed on as soon as possible to Mr Sandon's successor.Google Scholar

This supplement contains, as well as some recent additions supplied by the compiler, a large number of older theses not previously listed, in particular many submitted in university education departments. There are also some dealing with related fields, notably liturgy and classics. As in past thesis lists (for example, with theses dealing with troubadour and trouvere poetry) no claim is made, in listing titles here, that theses discuss the musical implications of their topics fully or indeed at all, but they are nevertheless listed unless their titles seem specifically to rule out any musical discussion. The present list can by no means be regarded as comprehensive yet, but it is hoped to supplement it further in future issues of the Chronicle.Google Scholar
