Special issue title:
Innovative Robot Design for Special Applications
Aims & Scope:
Robotics is advancing at a much quicker pace than ever. The scenario of research and applications in the field of Robotics has been changing and will change rapidly, both for industrial and for service robotics. It is therefore important to keep track and be updated of the most recent advances in the Robotics domain.
The aim of this Special Issue is to present the latest achievements, findings, and ideas in the field of Robotics, in particular with respect to innovative design for robots devoted to special applications. This Special Issue will contain revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers that were presented at the 4th International Conference of IFToMM Italy.
Potential topics include but are not limited to:
all the aspects of Robotics, with a focus on innovative design; for instance within the following fields:
- theoretical and computational kinematics
- robot design
- experimental robotics
- dynamics of robots and multi-body systems
- control issues of robotic systems
- innovative robots and applications
- linkages and manipulators
- micro-robots
- mobile robots
- collaborative robots
- medical robots
- machine intelligence
