The need for alternatives to the use of antibiotic growth promoters is now well known and accepted by the feed industry. The aim of this experiment was to test the effect of a combination of 5% carvacrol, 3% cinnamaldehyde and 2% Capsicum oleoresin, micro-encapsulated in a hydrogenated fat matrix, as an alternative to the use of antibiotics as growth promoters.
